Make Shredded Chicken in a Slow Cooker

With 5 minutes of prep you can have perfect shredded chicken using your slow cooker or crockpot. Add to soups, salads or casseroles for an easy dinner. Recipe adapted from Family Fresh Meals

4 large chicken breasts (about 2 pounds)
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Place chicken breasts in crockpot and pour in chicken broth. Sprinkle with salt and seasonings.
Cook for 5-6 hours on low or 3-4 hours on high. If chicken is frozen it will require the longer cooking time of the range.
Shred chicken with two forks and serve.
Will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
