Instructions

  1. Download your template in the size appropriate for your sweatshirt. You can use the one I provided or type up your own with a cursive handwritten font. I used Manus. Cut out the letters to make a stencil.
  2. Place your stencil in place and trace the middle of it with a marker. Cover it with a line of glue (see photo).
  3. Set a row of sequins on top of the glue. As much as possible, try to do this with one single row of sequins. Don’t cut the line yet. Use fabric glue to cover to the right side of the sequin line. Make a ‘u-turn’ so there are two rows of sequins (that overlap a bit). If you do have backtrack to go to the next letter, just put it on top of an existing row so the letters are no more than two rows thick.
  4. Once dry, use gold thread to sew every 3rd or 4th sequin to the sweatshirt. This will give it a better chance of surviving the wash!
