Fancy Tea Party Ideas and Inpiration

Photo via My Instagram

As always, life has been a whirlwind lately. I’m officially done with residency and loving my new job working in the pediatric ICU. I’ve also started another new job. I’m going to be developing the pediatric house calls program at a San Francisco-based startup. More on that soon!

One of the fun things about being a blogger is never knowing what is going to show up in my inbox. I’ve received everything from a request to be an ‘ambassador’ for drain cleaner to heartfelt letters from a reader about something I shared on my blog. It makes every day a little bit of an adventure!

I was recently asked by the folks at Act-On to review an e-book on marketing your blog. I liked it so much I actually ended up contributing a quote to it! The best thing about the book is that it is FREE to download. That means you can grab a copy to check out to with no risk to yourself. Here’s the link to download.FREE e-book on marketing and branding to download

Here are some other things I’m loving around the web:

How to Make Fire Space Tree Lighting for a Wedding or Party
//Photo credit//

I often use wedding sites for DIY inspiration for parties. AllFreeDIYWeddings has links to thousands of projects all over the internet. I’m especially loving:

Geometric Photobooth Backdrop
Suspended Outdoor Lighting (photo above)
Rustic Milk Bottle Centerpieces
Easy Crepe Paper Roses

I’ve been itching to host a party lately. We have a beautiful backyard and September is one of the best weather months in San Francisco. Any recommendations for themes or recipes for me?

An easy but impressive cupcake - vanilla cupcakes filled with lemon curd and topped with lemon buttercream frosting!

I’ve had a couple of recipes featured around the web, like my Lemon Curd Stuffed Cupcakes. They continue to be one of my most popular recipes of all time, and for good reason! They taste absolutely AMAZING. I often get asked permission to share a photo and a link to my recipe, but sometimes the feature comes unexpectedly and I only realize it because of the bump in traffic. It’s a nice surprise. 🙂

Here is some more dessert inspiration for you:

Crinkly Toffee Cookies
Walnut Trompe l’Oiel Cookies
Roasted White Peaches with Honeycomb Ice Cream
Luxury Chocolate Fudge
2 Ingredient Lemon Bars

And here are some random links that I’ve been pinning lately:

Roasted Peach and Brown Sugar Popsicles

I’d forgotten you’re a paediatrician – how do you find time to blog too? I’m dull of admiration for you!

I understood what you meant! Honestly it’s pretty busy but being done with residency has helped a lot!
