Re-Releasing my Iceland Video!

  • Facebook 6
  • Twitter

This week, I re-released my Iceland travel video. The original video is one of the things I’m most proud of in this blogging/content creation journey I’m on. There’s just one problem: the first version had profanity in the song I chose. I didn’t even notice that there was swearing in the song when I picked it. (It’s probably an entirely different conversation that I no longer notice that in music.)

YouTube has been cracking down on channels that talk about ‘controversial topics’. Bad words are on the list of things that YouTube is no longer allowing if you want to earn advertising revenue on your videos.

I figured it was better safe than sorry, so I taught myself how to censor a song (thanks to the wonders of the internet and a free program called Audacity). I hand-censored the song and swapped it out in the video.

Now that’s a skill I never thought I’d need when I was teaching myself photography during med school!

Give the new version a listen and tell me if you can hear where the censored parts are! Leave a comment on the video and let me know and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button.

Thanks so much for your support. It really means the world to me!

Thanks so much for reading! For more Sweet in your life, you can find me on Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube, or subscribe to receive a weekly email with new posts and musings from me.
