I curated a collection of my favorite spots in San Francisco and they are up on Gilt City now! Check out a new place and get a great deal while doing it.
I curated a collection of some of my favorite spots in the city for Gilt City this week! You’ll find places to eat, things to do and even a great place to work out, all with amazing deals.
One of the best things about this collaboration is that 5% of your purchase will go to support an organization that is near and dear to my heart – UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. I actually did my pediatric residency at UCSF and I still work in the pediatric ICU there. I couldn’t think of a better way to give back for the amazing education I got there.
Here are some highlights from the collection…
Myriad Gastropub
No matter what you’re in the mood for Myriad Gastropub in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco has something on the menu for you. The restaurant features beautifully done American fusion cuisine inspired by destinations all over the world, like Morocco, Mexico, Italy and more. There are always new items on the menu and a few old favorites as well.
The staff is incredibly friendly and don’t be surprised if Chef Trish herself stops by your table. She’s a wonder woman if there ever was one. I was absolutely touched by the fact that she is working tirelessly to help bring food and aid relief to the victims of the North Bay fires this month. She’s cooked and sent more than 5,000 meals to people affected by the fires in the last week alone.

Project Juice
One of my go-to spots in San Francisco for fresh juice is Project Juice. They have five locations in the city meaning there is usually one within walking distance to where I am. One of the things I love is their innovative flavors – Turmeric Lemonade, Blue Majik Smoothies (with spriulina), and lots of green juices. Their juices are big on flavors and aren’t overly sweet. They also have some of the friendliest staff in the city – no snobbery to be found. Their Hayes Valley and Mission locations serve healthy food options as well.

Tcho Chocolate
Tcho Chocolate is the best. We have a whole drawer at home that’s dedicated to holding our favorite Tcho products – everything from sipping chocolate to chocolate disks. They are always releasing new flavors, including a brand new umami series with flavors like seaweed, shiitake mushroom, and black garlic that I can’t wait to try. I highly recommend taking a chocolate factory tour at their Berkeley factory in the East Bay. I loved learning about the philosophy behind their chocolate making and the pride they take advancing the field of chocolate making through research.

Taylor Monroe Salon
The only people in San Francisco I trust with my hair is Taylor Monroe Salon in Hayes Valley. The salon has great ambiance, friendly staff and I love my stylist Atty! She makes every day a good hair day. Going in for a color refresh is better than getting a facelift!

Pop Physique
Pop Physique has some of the best body sculpting classes in the city. Think high energy, good music and every muscle in your body screaming in pain (in a great way). Whenever I take a class, all I can think is, “How can this possibly hurt this much when I’m just making these tiny movements?” Pop Physique is great for improving posture and improving muscle tone. I always feel more confident when I go to their classes regularly.
