All over the interwebs I keep hearing about the transition from summer to fall. Even though I’m not ready for the days to get shorter, I do love fall. In Wisconsin, the trees turn vibrant oranges and reds and the weather is just perfect. Now in San Francisco, I love fall for a different reason – it’s our summer now! In September, the summer tourists start to leave and the Karl the Fog follows close behind them. Septembers are picnics in golden gate park and dinners in our back yard. So fine, let’s transition! I love finding ways to wear clothes that I already have through different seasons. Bright tights take this Ever Ivy dress from hot summer night to cool fall evening in a snap. Ever Ivy is a San Francisco designer that I’ve been hearing a ton about. I had a chance to preview their fall collection a few weeks ago and you guys, I wanted one of everything! If you’re wondering where these photos were taken, this is one of the hidden gems of the Outer Sunset – the Hidden Garden steps are near 16th avenue and span between Kirkham and Lawton. You absolutely must check them out! Not only are they beautiful, there are amazing views of the city, including the Golden Gate Bridge!Oh, and I need to give credit where credit is due, I received a box of goodies in the mail from Dry Bar the other day! I’ve had a drybar blowout before, but I didn’t know their amazing products were available to use at home!
I tried the Hot Toddy Frizz Protector and Gold Mine Shimmering Leave-In Conditioner and my hair looked immediately healthier. Since I was in the market for a new curling iron after my seven-year old relic finally died, I also splurged and upgraded to the DryBar 3-Day Bender! I hope you can appreciate the difference in these photos! I’ve had people asking me if I had a blow out and acting skeptical when I told them I did it at home! If you’re usually hair-challenged like I am, there are great videos up on Sephora’s website that make it much simpler than it looks!

Yay! The Outer Sunset has it’s flaws, but for that there are also so many gems if you just look a little deeper!
