Always the Season for Chunky Knits & Colored Denim

Wearing chunky knits for winter style inspoOne thing is sure, when a blogger hosts brunch it will be an occasion to remember. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to join some other bay area blogger babes at Jessica from Team Wiking’s house for some delicious found and even better company. If you read Jessica’s blog, you’ll know she has a great sense of style. Simple, elegant with a modern twist, her house was absolute design heaven. Every last detail was done up to perfection!

I was especially impressed by her holiday decor – coffee filter garlands strung overhead and leafy greens bent in the shape of the word ‘Joy’ adorning the wall. Even though the holiday season is over, these are definitely DIYs that I’m going to keep in my back pocket for another occasion.

Also, can we talk about this Christmas tree? It was everything I could do to not run away with the pretty geometric ornaments!

Speaking of pockets, for my brunch look, I chose my favorite maroon DL 1961 straight leg jeans that I’ve been living in lately with a chunky white cowl neck sweater from Banana Republic. I kept it casual with some pony hair flats in a fun print. I can’t say enough good things about these DL 1961 jeans. They fit like an absolute dream and look good with flats or heels.
