2014 marked a new blog adventure for me! I started doing style posts. These were a lot of fun, but also challenging for me! I’m definitely an awkward turtle and much more comfortable behind the camera taking pictures of food. Inspired by all the amazing San Francisco fashion bloggers around me, I took the leap and well, you can see the results below! Here are some of my favorite style posts of 2014. I look forward to sharing more of my personal style in 2015.
1. Bare Minerals Natural Holiday Beauty Tutorial :: My first beauty tutorial showing how to get that perfect holiday glow. This was a ton of fun, although a little unnerving to show a “before” picture all over the internet!
2. Be Stylish but Professional at Work :: My first campaign with a huge national clothing brand. I showed you how I stay stylish, but still professional at work! I wear those jacquard pants all the time.
3. Fashion that Feeds :: Pretty jewelry that has a great message from Half United. The navy shirtdress and suede boots is one of my favorite looks!
4. A Cape in a Pumpkin Patch? :: Capes had a major moment last year. I rocked the trend in a ridiculous way – sitting on pumpkins during my weekend getaway to Oregon wine country.
5. Jenny Chang + San Francisco Fashion Week :: I had the chance to attend San Francisco Fashion Week this year and wear a couple of really special dresses from local San Francisco designer Jenny Cheng.
6. Travel Style + Harem Pants :: I talked about traveling in style but not sacrificing comfort on those long flights. I can’t wait to go on another international trip and stock up on those harem pants that backpackers live in.
7. Bonus Beach Day :: This look makes me remember those special walks to the beach with Pat on the rare occasions when we both had the day off. We’re all about lazy mornings drinking coffee and soaking in the sun at the beach.
8. Bright Tights + Ever Ivy :: A fun look in a fun location in San Francisco wearing another local San Francisco label, Ever Ivy.
Thanks for following along on this new adventure as I pretend to be a Fashion Blogger!

I don’t think there’s any pretending about it–you’re TOTALLY a fashion blogger! (and a good one at that!) I am a huge, huge fan of capes and of harem pants (though maybe not at the same time!), so I’m glad to see them here!
Haha, thanks Natalie! That will be my next look – capes + harem pants. So many trends, so little time!
Haha–love it! You can totally bring that combo into everyday fashion! 🙂
These are such fun posts, style is something I am hoping to dig a little
deeper in on my blog as well for the new year. I totally agree with
you– I’m much for comfortable behind the camera but I definitely wanna
try something new on Sunshine Daydream. Thanks for the inspo! 🙂
You should! I’d love to see your personal style. You’re so cute in the photos I’ve seen on Instagram!
I love your blog and have really enjoyed following it! I love your design, and I love all of your pictures! <3
That’s so nice to hear Breanna! I really appreciate it!
I love your fashion posts. I don’t know if I’ll ever be comfortable doing a fashion post, I hardly like my picture taken at all.
Haha, famous last words! I said that too, right up to the day of my first style post! 🙂
I love the pumpkin patch outfit!
Thanks Kyla! I just can’t take myself too seriously!
Your pictures are so gorgeous! Your style is lovely!

Thanks so much Jordan!
Wonderful recap of your sartorial posts! No need to pretend…you are definitely a fashion blogger! 🙂
Ooo, sartorial! Such a great word! Love you Cara!
I love your style and look forward to more of these types of posts in 2015 🙂 xx
Thanks Miranda! I love your style too!

Awww, thanks so much lady!
Awww, thanks so much Tinna!
Bonus Beach Day! Just the CUTEST OUTFIT. I’m so so so glad you’ve started to do these. 🙂
Thanks so much for your support Carla! You should do them too!
Girl, you’re awesome. And definitely a fashion blogger. I can’t think of a single time in the past year that I thought “You know what? I look cute. I should take a picture.” Mostly because I was lucky if I wore something other than yoga pants. LOL
Bahaha, I spend 90% of my time in yoga pants of course (when not at work). This is such a small part of my life. 🙂
I’m loving all these pictures and I love all the different locations! That colorful stair case is by far the best!!! (:
Thanks! It’s definitely a San Francisco gem!
I’m hoping to get more comfortable in front of the camera so I can do style posts. Your bare minerals was one of my favorites for sure!
It takes practice I think! And being comfortable with the photographer! If my husband is in a rush, I just clam up and the photos don’t look as good! I find that if we set up a designated time it’s way better!
oh i love that pink handbag, navy shirtdress and suede boots!!
I think that’s my favorite look too! I feel like such a classy lady wearing it!
I’m a scarf gal and absolutely love your azure & cream colored scarf. Beautiful pictures!
Me too! They are perfect for San Francisco weather too, where having a thick jacket isn’t really necessary. It’s all about layers here!
Love the pumpkin patch outfit looks great and love the pose
Awesome! Thanks Mia!
Great posts! Style posts look like fun, though I’ve never tried it…maybe one day! Your photos are amazing by the way!
I always said I’d never do it, but it’s been so much fun and opened up so many opportunities for me!
Love the pumpkin patch picture! So cute!
Haha, thanks Brenda! Ridiculous but I love it too!
Oh that cape! I really love it – you look adorable in all these photos, and I am about to click through that travel style post of yours for my upcoming trip! happy new year, Kelly!
Awww, thanks so much Christine! Where are you headed?
To California – some time in San Francisco and some in Venice Beach. I’m so excited to get away from the deep chill for a bit 🙂
Awesome! Have a great trip!
All these outfits are perfect! I love them!
Thanks so much!

Oh dear, my apologies for my faulty memory! Thanks for jogging it, and I’ll be sure to not make the same mistake next time. *^_^* Look forward to then! 😀
No worries! 🙂
The cape in the pumpkin patch is definitely my favourite! Love the monochromatic look!
Katie <3
Yay! Thanks Katie!
Love your fun fashion posts! Such pretty outfits in all of these! Love the colors from the pumpkin patch photo!
Thanks Kelly! I distinctly remember we were chasing the sunlight in that picture! We were hoping for sunrise but instead almost got stuck with a harsh glare! Just in time.
You seriously have the best outfits but I’m DYING over those brown boots. I need them in my life <3
Right!? Every time I put them on I feel so fancy! They are actually almost 8 years old from Banana Republic! Can you believe it!?
Love your style!! Those harem pants are in-cred-ible.
Thanks Ivette!
So cool that you started doing style posts! I love the black top in the last photo.
Turquoise and Tortoiseshells
Thanks Nasya! I love it too!
