I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of traveling in style, but without compromising comfort. I’ve finally ditched the black leggings in lieu of my new love – harem pants. Long a favorite of the international traveler, they’ve officially landed stateside in a big way. I think we have the normcore movement to thank.
But before I get into that, I want to give you a heads up about an opportunity to win a trip to New York City Fashion week and a VIP styling session with an A-List Hollywood stylist! I’m partnering with Dove to challenge you to ditch your sleeves! I’m starting my trial of Dove Advanced Care Deodorant with NutriumMoisture today in hopes that I’ll feel more confident sleeveless – even on those long days at the hospital. You can join me by checking out the Sleeveless Summer Challenge.Back to the look – the pair of harem pants that I’m wearing is from Madewell. You may have noticed that this pair is see-through! I’m actually wearing a pair of spandex running shorts underneath so the whole world doesn’t see my unmentionables. I’ve also worn them with full black leggings too for a bit more warmth. I love the versatility! Sadly, they are no longer available, but they do have similar options. This look is all about swingy accessories and a lightweight blazer to bring your pajama pants into a great daytime look. I always freeze when I travel, so the look isn’t complete without a pretty scarf! I usually toss another thicker on in my purse to double as a blanket or pillow. I also love a cross body bag so I can keep my hands free for my carry-on suitcase.Another travel essential is a slip on shoe. No need to mess with laces or buckles when you’re rushing through security to catch your flight. Thanks to my best girl Sarah for the photography! You have to check out her blog, Snixy Kitchen, for beautiful food photography, witty words and fabulous gluten-free cooking.
