San Francisco College Fashion Week with Her Campus Media

This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend San Francisco College Fashion Week with my gal Lauren. I know what you’re thinking – “girl, you ain’t no college student!” You’re absolutely right! I was actually a guest of the organizer of College Fashion Week – Her Campus Media. The night was a ton of fun and started with makeup by Bare Minerals and hair touch-ups by TRESemmé. Any event that starts with pampering is tops in my book!

My favorite thing about College Fashion Week was that the models were actual real college girls! These girls had volunteered for the event and modeled clothes by Boohoo. It was so much fun to see these real girls with no modeling experience rock the runway with confidence! I think about myself in college and there is no way I could have walked a runway in front of so many people.

Lauren and I weren’t the only old farts in the crowd. Kim and Krystal were also there covering the event. It was great to hang out with all of these lovely ladies.

I attended College Fashion Week in partnership with Cinch. It’s a new app that allows you to post polls so you can get instant feedback from your friends. You can use it for things like what outfit to wear, what photo to post or to choose a place to meet up. I just set up a poll for my girlfriends to help us pick out a place for happy hour this week. It was so much easier to have everyone vote in the app instead of a crazy back-and-forth text message list of links. Cinch is currently only available for iPhone, but you can still vote for polls on an Android phone. You can try Cinch for yourself here!

Thanks so much for reading A Side of Sweet! For more Sweet in your life, you can find me on Instagram, Pinterest, Bloglovin’, or Twitter, or subscribe to receive a weekly email with new posts (see sidebar).

You sure do go to some fun fashion events! Cinch sounds like quite the useful tool for a group of indecisive lady friends. 🙂

I know, especially lately! I feel so lucky! It’s fun to transition from Wisconsin where such things don’t exist to here where stuff is happening all the time!

I know! I feel so fortunate! It’s been a nice change from Wisconsin where nothing like this ever happens to San Francisco where there is always something happening!

Yay! I think it really cuts down on the group texting, which is so nice!
