With 5 minutes of prep you can have perfect pulled or shredded chicken using your slow cooker or crock pot. Add to soups, salads or casseroles for an easy dinner.
Did you know you can use your slow cooker to prepare the most moist, tender and delicious shredded chicken you can possibly imagine? All it takes is a few minutes of prep time and ingredients you probably already have on hand. The first time I tried it, my mind was literally blown. I think it’s my favorite way to make chicken at home.
Wondering what to do with this recipe? Lucky for you I’ll have an amazing soup recipe that uses shredded chicken in just a couple of days! It’s also great on salads, in a casserole, with pasta, or just on its own.
I can’t even believe I’m saying this, but this recipe might actually be better than Costco’s rotisserie chicken. And easier, because it doesn’t involve braving the lines at Costco to pick one up. I’m not sure what it’s like where you live, but the Costco’s in San Francisco are always packed. Whether you go at 10am or 5pm, the parking lot is always full and the lines are so long! I actually saw two people get in a screaming match over a parking spot one time.
Not really sure where I was going with this story, other than to emphasize this chicken is THE BOMB. Don’t forget to check back on Tuesday for the perfect recipe to use it in.
