Antelope Canyon Tour & Guide

Everything you need to know about Antelope Canyon, Page, AZ. Your questions answered about Upper vs. Lower Antelope Canyon, tickets, tours and more!Everything you need to know about Antelope Canyon, Page, Az

Our southwest road trip wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona, at least for someone like me who is always chasing the ‘gram. Even though it’s been stunning for ages (eons?), for some reason it just started showing up on my Instagram feed in the last year or so. The secret is out and the crowds at this tourist destination are a testament to that.

Despite its popularity though, Antelope Canyon still manages to be magical. You just have to suck it up and ignore the crowds and instead get yourself lost in the vibrant colors and swirled rocks. Nature is amazing.

Read on for more information about Antelope Canyon and tons of photos!

Easy Hike in Zion National Park, Utah

If you’re looking for an easy hike in Zion National Park Utah with epic views and great scenery, try Northgate Peak Trail at the Wildcat Canyon Trailhead.

Zion National Park Utah Travel Guide - Easy Hike with Good Views

As part of our epic Southwest road trip through Utah and Arizona, Pat and I spent a day exploring Zion National Park. Because our trip was last minute, we didn’t have time to organize a hiking permit like you need for many of the most epic Zion hikes like The Narrows.

Also, if I’m being completely honest, I’m not terribly fond of heights. While Pat is an adrenaline seeker, I’m what I like to call “risk-phobic”. I don’t have a phobia of heights per say, I really don’t like to put myself in risky situations in general. I’m a bird in the hand kind of girl…. Read More »

4×4 Camping Roadtrip with Pacific Overlander

We rented a Pacific Overlander 4×4 camping vehicle and did a five-day road trip through California, Utah & Arizona. Here’s our experience off-road camping (more like glamping!) along the way.

California Utah Arizona Roadtrip Itinerary Places of Interest

Last month Pat and I set out on a road trip adventure that was unlike anything I’ve ever done. We rented a 4×4 truck outfitted with a tent on top that allowed us to take advantage of all the public land here on the west coast. It was a taste of the #VanLife movement and oh was it sweet…. Read More »

24 Hours in Albany, Oregon

OOTD :: Black jeans and statement necklace

Holly and I started off our time in Albany, Oregon with a tour of the historic carousel museum. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Albany is doing a major fundraising effort to build a beautiful hand-carved carousel. When finished, the carousel will have 52 animals and will be powered by an antique carousel mechanism from 1901! Volunteers have already donated over 150,000 hours towards this amazing project. Most volunteers start with little or no carving experience and start training on small pieces of wood. It takes hours before they are allowed to work on the actual animals. We got to watch some of the carvers at work and the amount of detail is incredible!… Read More »
