Hey friends! Today I just want to share a few photos from my trip to the San Francisco Flower Mart! I visited during my last #SanFranciscoStaycation in November! I’m actually on staycation again, as my vacation at work happens in two week chunks. Sometimes that means a big international vacation, but because Pat has a job too, it often ends up with me taking the time to relax at home and explore my pretty city.
I’d been wanting to go to the San Francisco Flower Mart almost since we moved to San Francisco but it feels like I’m always at work! I seized the opportunity to visit during those blissful two weeks. I couldn’t resist coming away with a literal armful of flowers. It was fun trying my hand at making my own bouquet at home.
The flower mart has recently been in the news as real estate developers try to get rid of it to build office space in its place. It’s sad to think of this lovely space being leveled and replaced with cubicles. It’s free to visit, open to the public, and definitely worth checking out! I hope you will support this amazing local gem. It’s one of the many things that makes San Francisco so unique and special. It’s also an Instagrammer’s heaven!

P.S. – For all you San Francisco flower fans, my friends at Esselle SF are having a Valentine’s Day popup shop!
I’ve been wanting to pay them a visit! 🙂 I always drive by the spot on my way off of 280, and I’ve been pretty close to it other days when I’m making a stop at Fantastico around the corner.
You should check it out then! It’s pretty convenient and there is usually pretty decent street parking so you don’t have to pay the parking fees.
I need to go there!
Yes! Once you get settled at your new place you can decorate it with fresh flowers!
Oh, I miss SF
Awww, I can imagine! Hope Chicago is great though!
I need a staycation so I can check this place out!!
Staycationing in San Francisco is the best! With all the neighborhoods and things to do I feel like I’m on a big vacation!
I’ve never been before either but planning on going right before Valentine’s Day <3 Just signed the petition.
Oh, that’s a great idea! I bet they will have so many roses in anticipation of the flower industry’s favorite holiday!
LOVE the Flower Mart! Slash I want to see your homemade bouquet!!

Well, the photos were from November but I bet it’s gorgeous given that Valentine’s Day is coming up!
The flower market looks lovely! I just signed the petition and hopefully it stays.
Me too! It’s definitely a gem.
One of my many SF Happy Places. 🙂 I sure hope this place is able to stick around, it’s so disappointing that it could shutter soon.
