Corvallis Oregon - Block 15 Restaurant and Brewery

Because we were only in Oregon for a couple of days, we had only 24 hours to explore Corvallis. We woke refreshed after an amazing night’s sleep on the Christmas Tree Farm at Donovan Place. Because I was at the peak of my half marathon training, we started the day with a brisk run up Bald Hill.

Running Bald Hill Corvallis, OregonDale took us out to breakfast at Block 15. This brewpub had tons of great options and did a good job of incorporating local produce into our meals. You have to try the sweet potato fries! Their beer is also excellent.

Where to Eat in Corvallis Oregon - Block 15 RestaurantCorvallis has a lovely Saturday farmer’s market. We stopped by after brunch to nibble on samples and eat some pastries. Good thing for that morning run!

I’ll definitely be back for a more extended stay and to explore more! And thanks to my travel buddy Holly for all the great photos in this post!

That first photo of you – your hair looks unreal. Like a shampoo commercial unreal. I’m kinda jealous.

I LOVE some good sweet potato fries, and any time it’s on the menu – I order it. For the most part, it’s never “amazing” …I’m on a mission to find some good sweet potato fries here in California.

Haha, for some reason I had really good hair days in Oregon! Maybe it’s the water? It was definitely shinier and smoother than it’s ever been.

I hope you got Carla’s recommendation for sweet potato fries at The Counter. We should all go!

If you ever go back, Local Boys is also a staple spot of Corvallis — their Sweet Shoyu chicken is amazing!

Ahh Kelly this trip looks so awesome! I’ve never been to Oregon so I absolutely loved you’ve made this little guide! I feel like going to local markets can really help you learn a lot about a place so I love that you included those photographs!

Thanks so much Tiffany! Farmers markets are the best, even if you can’t really make a full meal when traveling.
