Take your party to the next level with a fun homemade photobooth! Make it colorful with this easy confetti polka dot photobooth backdrop DIY.
Every party needs a photobooth. It’s so much fun to take the photos themselves and looking back through them is almost like reliving the party! Photobooths are easy to set up at home and often the most intimidating part is making the backdrop. This DIY is super easy and doesn’t take any fancy materials or skills.
DIY Confetti Polka Dot Photobooth Backdrop
Materials:
Colored cardstock
White cardstock
Circle cutter (optional)
Paintbrush
Glue
Sprinkles
Tape
String or baker’s twine
Instructions:
- Cut out circles in the size of your choosing. I used a 4-inch circle to trace. If you’re fancy, you can use a circle cutter.
- Cut out circles from white cardstock. Use the paintbrush to cover one side with a layer of glue. Cover with sprinkles, pressing in gently to secure. Set aside to dry overnight. If they don’t dry flat, you can put a heavy book over them to flatten.
- Tape the circles onto the baker’s twine and hang in front of a blank wall. You will need about 8 strings of dots to cover a typical background.
- Set up your camera on a tripod. For suggestions on settings, you can read this post.
