Get in the Super Bowl spirit with this recipe for an easy homemade rainbow-colored Jolly Rancher Vodka. Mix it with soda water for a festive cocktail featuring your team’s colors!
Can you believe the Super Bowl is almost here? If you’re like me and the biggest football game of the year has snuck up on you, fear not. I have an easy cocktail recipe for you that is sure to be a hit this year.
Brightly colored Jolly Rancher vodkas are perfect for cheering on your favorite football team. No matter who your guests are rooting for, they’ll find a cocktail that represents their team colors. Eagles fans can enjoy a green apple cocktails and Patriot fans have the choice of cherry or blue raspberry.
The actual ‘recipe’ has only two ingredients and is made ahead of time. That means more time for you to sit down and enjoy the game. Everyone is a winner in the end (see what I did there?).
If you’re like me and have waited until the last-minute to think about the Super Bowl, I have the perfect solution for your procrastination tendencies. You can get all of your party supplies, from paper products to snacks, delivered right to your door with Boxed. They have all of your bulk shopping needs covered. It’s awesome.
Most people get their Boxed orders within two days. That means if you’re planning a last-minute Super Bowl party, you can still get all of your party supplies delivered before the big day.
I used to dread spending my Saturdays bulk shopping with 1,203,574 of my (*cough, cough*) closest friends standing in line for an hour and being hit in the ankles with giant shopping carts. Don’t forget being stuck in traffic, trying to find a parking spot and my favorite – forgetting something important and having to go back to the store for a second time. It’s the worst.
Even better Boxed has no membership fee, order minimum or other strings attached. You still get wholesale pricing and you can watch the savings add up. On my most recent order I saved $29.50 – almost 30%. Needless to say, it wasn’t hard to make the switch.
Most Boxed orders qualify for free shipping by meeting the minimum order amount of $49.00. Otherwise, shipping is as low as $6.99. They also have a ton of organic options and you get to pick two free samples every order. With my most recent order I got these awesome Prince & Spring fruitmojis fruit snacks that I’m totally getting next time.
For those of us living in California, Boxed recently started offering spirits and wine for delivery. I used vodka from Boxed to make the Jolly Rancher vodkas you’ll find below – and paid less for it than I would have at the grocery store! If you aren’t in California, fear not. They will also be expanding their wine and spirits offerings nationwide this year.
The Jolly Ranchers were also from Boxed. You’ll need about a dozen Jolly Ranchers per cup of vodka, so buying them in bulk is best-case scenario. To maintain the beautiful vibrant colors, I recommend pairing them with similar colored liquids, or to keep things easy, just mix them with lemon lime soda or sparkling water!
On a company level, Boxed is doing things right. They are fighting the so-called ‘Pink Tax’ which is a tax on feminine hygiene products imposed by 34 states across the country. This tax places products like tampons and pads in the same tax category as luxury, non-essential goods. This tax is not applied to similar men’s products. Boxed.com reduced the costs of these products on their site to offset the tax. They also promise price equality for products like razors, which often cost more for women.
The CEO of Boxed also pays college tuition for the children of its full-time employees – out of his salary. Are you a Boxed employee getting married? Your wedding will be paid for by Boxed. The company also offers unlimited maternity and paternity leave. It’s so awesome to see a company doing right by its employees and its consumers.
