An easy DIY Geometric Heart Valentine’s Day Photobooth made with yarn and wire, plus FREE printable emoji photo booth props to download!

Make a Geometric Heart Valentine's Day Photobooth Wall

Last weekend, I hosted a Galentine’s Day Fête for some of my girlfriends. I felt like we were long overdue for some quality time, so I got everyone together for a brunch at my place! With the current political climate, it felt even more timely to celebrate the friendships I’ve made here in San Francisco.

A photobooth has become a party essential for me. They are so easy to make and people go crazy for them! They are a way to make sure each of your guests goes home with something memorable from the event. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to create a photo booth though. For this one all you need is some craft wire and yarn!

It’s nice to have a tripod and a decent camera, but given how good cell phone photos are these days, you might even be able to get away with letting guests take their own photos on their phones. If you want to see how I set up my photo booth camera, I have a whole post about doing a photobooth on a budget.Free Emoji Photobooth Prop Printable Download

This time, I made a set of emoji photo booth props. They were a huge hit! I put them all into .PDF format and you can find the link to download them, for FREE, below. Just print them out on thick card stock, attach a wooden skewer and you are good to go!

Don’t forget to check back here all week-long as I’ll be sharing more recipes, DIYs and inspiration for your own Galentine’s Day celebration!

Geometric Heart Valentine’s Day Photobooth

You Will Need:

Strong craft wire
Wire cutters
Gold leaf paint + foam paintbrush (optional)
Colored yarn
Clear Adhesive Wall Hooks
Emoji Photo Booth Printable
Thick White Card Stock
Scissors
Tape
Wooden Skewers

Instructions:

  1. Cut craft wire to desired length using wire cutters. Bend wire into a heart shape and twist at the top.
  2. Optional: Paint wire gold and let dry completely.
  3. Wrap and tie yarn around wire frame and intertwining as you go. Tie and cut off excess yarn. I think it would also be fun to do a neon version using the braided nylon string you find at hardware stores.
  4. Hang on wall using clear adhesive wall hooks.
  5. Make emoji photo booth printables: Download file and print on standard 8.5 x 11″ cardstock paper. Cut out shapes and tape onto wooden skewers.

In the file, there are two versions of every prop, a small one and a large full-page one. You can decide for yourself which ones you’d like a bit bigger. Personally, I felt that the dancing girls, champagne bottle, and pineapple were all best in the larger format.
