Hey lovelies! Today I want to share with you a cocktail recipe that goes perfectly with one of my favorite dessert recipes, the Pear & Almond Galette. The galette recipe will be the star at the end of your holiday dinner, especially when served with this companion pear thyme cocktail recipe.
This recipe takes a little extra effort because of the pear puree, but I promise it’s worth it! Plus, you can make the puree in advance to save some time on the day of. I love the combination of pear and thyme – is so unique and fresh. It’s absolute holiday party perfection. Garnished with a thyme sprig, it also looks great too!

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 pears, peeled and cored
- 1 1/2 oz. lemon juice
- 2 tsp. fresh thyme
- 2 oz. bourbon
- Soda water
- Thyme, for garnish
Instructions
[i]Make the simple syrup. [/i]
- Heat the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium high heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
[i]Make the pear puree. [/i]
- Blend the pears, lemon juice and fresh thyme in a blender or food processor until pureed.
[i]Assemble the drink. [/i]
- Fill four high ball or rocks glasses with ice. Shake the bourbon, 2 ounces of pear puree and 1 ounce of simple syrup vigorously until chilled. Pour over ice and top with soda water. Garnish with a sprig of thyme to serve.
