Hey lovelies! Today I want to share with you a cocktail recipe that goes perfectly with one of my favorite dessert recipes, the Pear & Almond Galette. The galette recipe will be the star at the end of your holiday dinner, especially when served with this companion pear thyme cocktail recipe.

Pear Thyme Cocktail Recipe & Pear Almond Galettes

This recipe takes a little extra effort because of the pear puree, but I promise it’s worth it! Plus, you can make the puree in advance to save some time on the day of. I love the combination of pear and thyme – is so unique and fresh. It’s absolute holiday party perfection. Garnished with a thyme sprig, it also looks great too!

Pear Thyme Cocktail

This pear thyme cocktail is the perfect holiday cocktail recipe. The combination of pear and thyme is unique and fresh, and garnished with a thyme sprig, it looks great too!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 pears, peeled and cored
  • 1 1/2 oz. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. fresh thyme
  • 2 oz. bourbon
  • Soda water
  • Thyme, for garnish

Instructions

[i]Make the simple syrup. [/i]

  1. Heat the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium high heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.

[i]Make the pear puree. [/i]

  1. Blend the pears, lemon juice and fresh thyme in a blender or food processor until pureed.

[i]Assemble the drink. [/i]

  1. Fill four high ball or rocks glasses with ice. Shake the bourbon, 2 ounces of pear puree and 1 ounce of simple syrup vigorously until chilled. Pour over ice and top with soda water. Garnish with a sprig of thyme to serve.
