So, you read my Okinawa travel guide and now you’re headed to Okinawa. Perfect! Wondering where to stay when you’re there? A great option is Nanma Mui Nature Resort in Nago, Okinawa. It’s directly on the water, meaning you wake up to amazing views of the Hanejinaikai Sea. It’s perfectly secluded and surrounded by lush greens and beautiful flowers.

Read on for more from our stay and my Okinawa travel video!

Glamping is all the rage in the United States, at least in California. That’s why I was so excited that Nanma Mui features an amazing glamping experience.Beautiful Okinawa Japan Hotels - Nanma Mui Glamping Nago

The yurt-style glamping tents are super cozy and very chic. With full beds, a sofa, electricity and wifi, you almost forget about all the beautiful nature right outside your front door (or tent flap I should say!).

You won’t find any port-a-potties here. The tents have full private bathrooms with showers and running water.

If you’re not sure about glamping, Nanma Mui also has both private apartment-style rooms as well as rooms that you can rent in a larger cottage that has a shared bath and full kitchen. Make sure you ask for an ocean view room so you can wake up to this view:Beautiful Okinawa Japan Hotels - Nanma Mui Glamping Nagox

Enjoy a beautifully prepared breakfast, perfect for crushing your breakfast-in-bed game.

For an additional fee, Nanma Mui offers a sea kayaking experience right from their private beach. There’s an island nearby that you can pedal and tons of beautiful coastline to enjoy. The kayak is actually pedal powdered and has a large sail. I appreciated the opportunity to get my daily workout in such a unique way.Beautiful Okinawa Japan Hotels - Nanma Mui Glamping Nago

Nanma Mui is the perfect escape from it all. There’s no better way to relax and enjoy nature in a beautiful setting!

Although they do not currently have an english website, the staff at Nanma Mui speak english. The best source online that I found for information is their Booking.com site.

Hi! I’m no sure as I’ve never been to Okinawa in the summer. For us it was on the cool side but I have heard it gets really hot! All of the tents are in the shade, but it might be worth emailing the owners and asking. It’s really so beautiful, I hope you get a chance to check it out!
