I may be the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser‘s biggest fan. No one would ever accuse me of being a neat freak, but I’m not a slob either. I fall more in the middle and my claim is that if I wasn’t working 80 hours a week, cleanliness would be much more of a priority! I think I love Magic Erasers because they make cleaning pretty much anything easier. I’m all for anything that makes keeping our place presentable easier…. Read More »
Slouchy Travel Style + Harem Pants
I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of traveling in style, but without compromising comfort. I’ve finally ditched the black leggings in lieu of my new love – harem pants. Long a favorite of the international traveler, they’ve officially landed stateside in a big way. I think we have the normcore movement to thank…. Read More »
Chocolate Cupcakes with Caramelized White Chocolate Buttercream & Dulce de Leche
Sometimes, I walk into a place and think, “I could just move in here”. I felt exactly that way at Serena & Lily last week. I had the opportunity to attend their Design Shop that I mentioned last week and it was a blast! Naturally, I couldn’t resist picking up a few treats to bring home. In partnership with Serena & Lily, I am going to share with you a recipe for some of the most amazing cupcakes I’ve ever had (*pats self on back*) and show you how I’m using my fabulous new finds…. Healthy Homemade Fruit Snacks Recipe with Natural Juice
A recipe for healthy fruit snacks with natural juice! They are an easy easy snack recipe, kid friendly, and all-natural with NO high fructose corn syrup.
I’ve had an unnatural fondness for fruit snacks for as long as I can remember. Even when I was a kid and it was normal to like fruit snacks, I managed to take it to an extreme level. I would make my parents buy every box of my favorite brand that was in stock when we went shopping.
That said, I eventually gave up fruit snacks because it’s pretty much impossible to find them without corn syrup and crazy additives! It’s been years since I’ve had any. Lately, I’ve been contemplating a way to make them myself, but healthier…. Read More »
Batkid Begins Documentary + Interview with the Filmmaker
One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had so far since moving to San Francisco was Batkid day, November 15, 2013. Even if you weren’t in San Francisco, chances are you heard about little Miles Scott and his quest to save the city. Even though I was at work at the children’s hospital on the actual day, I remember hearing about the outpouring of support for 5-year-old Miles Scott as Make-A-Wish, the citizens of San Francisco and more than a billion people all over the world (even President Obama and astronauts from the International Space Station!) watched him become a superhero for a day. It was enough to bring tears to my eyes! … Read More »
Black Cherry Buttermilk Ice Cream
This black cherry buttermilk ice cream recipe has a surprising tang. It’s refreshing and delicious on a hot summer day and easy to make.
How was your weekend friends? I had to work all weekend, but that didn’t stop me from making and enjoying the black cherry buttermilk ice cream recipe! I hope you have a great week.
My recipe for peach swirl buttermilk ice cream is one of my favorites. It’s right up there with salted caramel ice cream and tiramisu ice cream. I love the buttermilk ice cream base because it’s tangy and refreshing in a really unexpected way. Cherries are in peak season right now and I just knew that black cherries would also go great with a buttermilk base. My hunch was correct and the recipe has exceeded my expectations. It is so, so good – perfectly sweet and rich while not being overwhelming. I recommend you don’t waste any time and try it for yourself immediately!… Read More »
